A Young Teacher And A Special PupilAll classes at Wipe Your Paws are informative and very interactive.  Training classes will not only benefit your dog but educate you as well.  Taking a training class with your dog will also strengthen the bond between you and your pup. Wipe Your Paws offers several different dog classes that take place in our spacious daycare room and outside (depending on weather).

Classes offered:

  • Basic Obedience (puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old)
  • Basic Obedience (puppies 6 to 12 months old)
  • Basic Obedience II
  • Adult Dog Class (dogs over 1 year)

If you’re not sure which class is best for you and your dog, please call us and we can help you determine what would be the most beneficial for you. All classes are taught by Jamie Viezbicke.  There are 6 classes per session and each class lasts 70 minutes.

Meet Jamie

Jamie and TigerJamie Viezbicke was born in Colorado to a family of animal lovers.  Jamie decided at a very young age to follow her passion for animals and knew she wanted to work with them in her future.  When the time came to decide on a college, Jamie traveled to Florida to attend Eckerd College and graduated with a degree in Marine Biology.  After college she traveled to New York to train a variety of exotic animals at the Bronx Zoo, where she worked for five years.  She then became a tiger trainer in a free contact environment at Six Flags Great Adventure for two years.  Currently, Jamie is a guide dog trainer at internationally accredited guide dog school, Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Yorktown.  Her daily work training guide dogs allows blind and visually impaired people all over the country the freedom of greater independence.  Jamie is also the pet dog trainer for Wipe Your Paws and is a certified ‘Canine Good Citizen’ Evaluator.  Upcoming training class schedules can be found under the ‘Events’ section of this website. 

February Classes Announced!

Have a puppy 8 weeks to 9 months old that you want to get started on the right foot (or paw)?  If you would like your pup to be a well behaved and respected member of the family, then Basic Obedience Puppy Class is for you!  Trainer Jamie Viezbicke will teach you to teach your dog basic obedience, socialization with other dogs and new people and give you helpful tips for typical puppy issues such as house training.  

The next Basic Obedience Puppy class for puppies 8 weeks to 9 months old will be held Wednesday evenings beginning February 15th and run for six sessions.  Classes will be held at Wipe Your Paws (255 North Bedford Road in Mount Kisco) at 7:15 in the evening and run approximately 70 minutes long.  Call 914-242-7297 today to reserve your spot.

Have a an older puppy or adult dog that maybe missed puppy kindergarten and has become a handful?  Maybe they need a crash course or reminder course on their basic obedience?  Don’t fret, it’s not too late to teach an old(er) dog new tricks.  Jamie Viezbicke is holding an Older Puppy/Young Adult Dog Class at Wipe Your Paws on Thursday evenings beginning February 16thand runs for six sessions. This class is ideal for dogs 9 months old and older.  Classes will be held at Wipe Your Paws (255 North Bedford Road in Mount Kisco) at 7:15 in the evening.

*Please note: Orientation for all classes will be held Monday, February 13th at 7:15 at Wipe Your Paws.  No dogs attend the orientation.
